Welcome! I'm glad you stopped by!

If you are looking for a book from a specific level or genre then you should use the labels on the right. For example, click on the Poetry label and it will bring you to all the book reviews I have written on Poetry.

I haven't written a review for every book though. If you would just like to browse then click on my header where it says Novels or Picture Books and read through the list. If there is a link with the book title that means I have a review written for it.

If you've read a book and would like to comment on it, click the "comments" link below that specific post. I will read your comment and then it will be posted online.

What makes a book "good"?
Two main things contribute to whether a book is good or not. The reader's taste and the quality of the literature.
Taste refers to the interest level of the reader. Was it a topic that I'm interested in? How did I feel when I finished the book? Would I want to reread it later?
Quality looks at the different elements of the book... The parts your teacher would grade you on. :) Here are some elements that can make a book great or ordinary: style and language, character, plot, setting, illustrations, theme, tone, point of view, mood, pacing, design and layout, tension, accuracy, and believability.

A book could be well written but if it does not interest you, you will not think it is a good book. It might fit your taste and interest but if it is poorly written you would not say it is a good book. Great books fit both reader's taste and good quality literature!
